Quick summary

  • Quotes are confirmed in writing before work begins.
  • Custom orders may require a deposit to secure the date.
  • Pickup and delivery windows must be followed.

1. Quotes and order confirmation

A quote is an estimate based on the information you provide, including servings, flavours, design complexity, and delivery requirements. An order is confirmed only when we provide written confirmation and any required deposit or payment is received. Until then, availability is not guaranteed.

2. Pricing, deposits, and payment

Prices are communicated in pounds sterling (GBP). Custom orders and event catering may require a deposit to reserve the date and production time. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be stated in the written quote. If full payment is required before collection or delivery, this will also be stated in writing.

3. Changes to an order

If you request changes after confirmation, we will do our best to accommodate them. Changes may affect pricing and lead times. Some changes may not be feasible close to the event date, especially for custom decorations, tiered structures, or large quantities.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Because our products are made to order and often personalised, cancellations may not be eligible for a full refund. Where a deposit has been paid, it may be non-refundable once ingredients are purchased or production has begun. For cancellations, contact us as soon as possible so we can confirm what can be refunded based on the stage of work.

Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights where they apply. If there is an issue with your order, notify us promptly and we will work with you to find a reasonable solution.

5. Pickup and delivery

Pickup orders must be collected within the agreed time window. Delivery orders are scheduled within a time window that we confirm in writing. If access is restricted (for example, venue loading rules or reception procedures), you must provide details in advance. We may not be able to wait for extended periods at a location without arrangement.

Once an order is collected or delivered, responsibility for safe transport, storage, and serving generally transfers to you. We provide handling notes to help you keep the product in good condition.

6. Product care, storage, and quality

Cakes and cupcakes are perishable. We recommend following storage and serving guidance provided with your order. Temperature, humidity, and transport conditions can affect appearance and texture. We cannot guarantee performance if products are not stored or handled according to guidance, or if they are exposed to direct heat or prolonged travel without cooling.

7. Allergens and dietary information

Many products contain wheat (gluten), dairy, and eggs. Some flavours may contain nuts. We provide ingredient and allergen information upon request, but our kitchen is not a dedicated allergen-free facility. You are responsible for informing us of dietary concerns before confirming an order.

8. Intellectual property and photos

Website content, branding, and product descriptions are owned by SweetCrumb Cakes Ltd or used with appropriate rights. If we photograph our work for portfolio purposes, we avoid publishing personal data. If you prefer your order not be photographed, tell us in writing before the event date.

9. Liability

We aim to provide products and services with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability where it cannot be excluded under law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant order, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
